MARGIELA FUSION
We explored how the meaning of an image can be transformed through various creative interventions, through side-by-side placement. Starting with a single picture, we altered its context by placing it next to another image, allowing new interpretations to emerge. In the second step, we added typography, words or sentences placed beside the image, to reinforce, contradict, or reframe its message. Here, the layout, typeface, and letter spacing played a crucial role in shaping the meaning.Thirdly, we manipulated the original image itself to shift its visual narrative. As part of a free series, the forth step, we further developed our own concepts, experimenting with storytelling and composition. Through these processes, we learned that visual meaning is not fixed, but shaped by context, contrast, and design choices.
