MERGING PHOTOGRAPHY

I wanted to find out how to turn a 2D image into a 3D image using scripting. I chose to do it with Python and the terminal. First, I converted the image into a 3D map, then into a point cloud, and finally into a 3D object. In this process, I worked with deep learning and experimented with abstracting images and merging into them.
The end products are videos that show the uniqueness of the pictures that got manipulated with code.
The horizontal video is meant to highlight the beauty and uniqueness of the point clouds and 3D objects. It should showcase a process of slowly becoming more connected with the photograph itself.
In the vertical video, I created an augmented reality experience where I placed the abstracted 3D objects in the foreground and, behind them, the original image—as if you were coming out of a maze. I wanted viewers to feel immersed in the picture.
