CHANGE OF PERCEPTION

At the beginning of the project, we reflected on our personal interests and where we wanted to dive deeper in our thinking. The starting point was the theme of masks, which eventually led us to focus on eye masks — with the central question: How to change your perception? We decided to specifically focus on eye masks and their impact in a digital context. We explored how the design and experience of these masks shift in terms of comfort, transparency, and external perception when translated from the digital world into physical reality using 3D printing with resin. Our goal was to experimentally investigate how eye masks influence both personal vision and how one is perceived by others. We also aimed to investigate how perceptions differ between the digital space (Blender) and the physical world.
